Early risers this morning. Captain Aggie had cast off at 6 and motored out before Geoff and I had rubbed the sleepy dust from our eyes! The sunrise was beautiful and well worth leaving early for. The weather pattern at the moment seems to be calm and pleasant in the morning with increased wind and waves in the afternoon. As we had a relatively short journey today ...

Wow, that was a hot and humid night. As we left Brindisi there was not a breath of wind and the sea was like glass. But Mother Nature had some fun and games planned for us ! Winds were so favourable we headed on South to M.Saint Di Leuca still arriving by 3pm in time for a cocktail on shore before getting Ellis already for next early departure ...

We almost got gelato there, but decided against it as it was pushing 12:15 and we still had a ways to go, with Mom waiting for us for lunch. We left Castro and headed back on our way. Much of the early ride was up and down cliffs, while the later ride was spent riding through fields and over ...

... It also home to a very loud dog that was adamant that the three bikers it could hear, but not see, leave the road near its land. The third section seemed to have been created by a truck filled with red clay that was leaking out the back as it drove through a field. This section had also likely seen a meteor shower recently. According to the tour company, they hear of about 3 flat tires a year. Odds are, all three take place in one of these three sections! Regardless ...
