    ... to ships staff and “came home”. Meanwhile Barbara went back to the terminal shops to “surrender” her remaining yen.

    During our sail away, those passengers lining the promenade deck rail were treated to a rousing performance presented by a local high school band – sadly we missed this as dinner was being served at the same time.

    Farewell Japan, thanks for the wonderful memories.

    Nagasaki is our favourite city so far and today has been our favourite day. Overnight we cruised back into Japanese waters so we need to clear Japanese immigration again this morning before going ashore. This is quite a process and somewhat disorganized as it takes us over an hour to get off the ship. There is clearly a better way to do this but...... Once ashore, we are off and running. We are going it alone again today. The ship docks right in the city ...

    ... in Nagasaki we went for a stroll around the harbour and through the park. The harbour seemed very quiet, although there were a number of ships in docked. Back aboard the ship relaxing by the pool is lovely, waiting for sail away. We are a fair way up an inlet and there are a number of islands just off the coast so decided it would be nice to sit outside and watch us sail out bound for Busan, South ...

    ... since, was not enough to have sustained our epic walking treck. I think Dave is about to pass out. So...I am going to leave you all now and find something to eat before that happens.
    I will attach some photographs later but, for now....just the post because I am too hungry to faff around with my camera!
