    ... in Epernay which is the capital of the Champagne district so off we headed, it is only an hour and 25 minute drive from Touquin, just a short stint, we got there and pulled into the camping place to find that it was closed, bugger. What to do, we had little option but to head to the next offering, Chalon's en Champagne which is about 30 minutes from Epernay so it turned out to be a bit of a longer day on the road but we finally made it.     ... Except it was a couple of miles out of town the wrong way. They were a wee bit surprised when I declined. Ended up in a municipal campsite also a couple of miles out but at least on my route tomorrow which brings it down slightly to 23 miles. Every little helps.
