... pass return time has now become 10 minutes later. I have an hour before my fast pass is valid, so I look around for a restroom. I finally find it in a restaurant/theater. It is a neat concept and should keep the kids occupied while the family eats. I also see a sign that I translate into ‘cold drinks’ and realize there are coke machines. I guess some of those years of French are coming back, but as usual only in a written form.

... and finally black. We skipped green, because when we got our harnesses our guide said that we would not get our full three hours because it would get dark. We finished blue with little difficulty. My first zip-line on the course was kind of scary and challenging, but it was fun! We then started red, the next level up. When we were about half way through, it started getting dark. The last part of red was ...
Marne-la-Vallée, Île-de-France, France mshulist... was close to the lift (in fact just 5 or 6 feet away!) and that was through 2 doors! If you have been to Paris you would know that rooms just aren't big! This one was certainly no exception. We had a good 18inches clearway on each side of our bed and about 3 foot at the end of the bed, but this held a table (small obviously!) the TV, and a sitting chair (all the extras because it was 4 star!!) and the smallest double bed you could imagine. I've had ...

I'm OK with that because at least I was able to see the first floor and, I saw the Gates of Hell at Musee Rodin, so I didn't miss seeing it up close at Musee d'Orsay. I kept my fingers crossed that I wasn't cursed a third time to miss out on Musee d'Orangerie, and happily, I was able to finally get inside. It was worth the eight years I've waited to go in ...
Paris, France cklenotic... the trip we were starting to form specific relationships with castmembers on the Tower of Terror and Space Mountain, our 2 most visited attractions. On the Tower of Terror we had "why 2?" guy, who we had met on Tuesday. When we were queueing to be allocated a spot in the lift we had the following conversation: "Vous etes combien?" "Deux." "Pourquoi deux?" ............ "Excuse me?" "Why two?" "Yes, but why 'Why two?'!?" He was great fun and we saw him a few more times as we rode the ...
Marne-la-Vallée, France v1213... for me Rob had managed to bruise his coccyx on Indiana Jones Ride which slowed his up a bit (ROB - Jenn still wont look at my bruised bits, says she is on a sabbatical from nursing, if I had know that I would have brought one of the other SASH girls!). We went home, I had a sleep for 30mins, promising my head I would be good to it in the future while crossing my fingers, knowing that tomorrow we return. We watch a DVD and now Rob is making my dinner, I love France.
Paris, France rob.jenn... train. Apparently two trains were operating on the same track, and it took us several back and forth rides on the incorrect train before we realized there was some kind of rotation. When we finally figured out the rotation, we were on our way to Mickey-land Euro-style. Yet again, it was chilly out, and we packed shorts, particularly for this attraction, assuming that it would not be so terrible to appear American and ...
Marne-la-Vallée, France j-eunit... when a large black man asks you to put your finger somewhere, don't do it! We then decided to do the tourist thing and jumped on an open top double decker bus, as we wanted to scope out all the sights and then decided what to explore more on foot. It was actually brilliant, and very handy to get the history and info on the buildings, because everything is so beautiful that it is hard to tell the landmarks from the newer apartment blocks. We picked up the ...
Paris, France fritha... vegetable, liquor or phone shops. Everything seems to be peaceful. There are none of the common military around, who wander around the city center, carrying heavy machine guns, having the finger on the trigger, looking fiercely. The outside peace enters my head. I feel calm and peaceful. I haven't felt like that in a while. For the first time in my life, I live in a flat on my own. It means to have a lot of free space, a lot of space for myself. This is luxury ...
Paris, France yellowdragonOh God. I'm lost in the Louvre... which is a surprisingly easy thing to do. It's not really like you get to the point of a panic attack (or, at least, I found my way out before I had one). Instead, you decide you want to leave a particular wing to re-orient yourself and look for a "sortie" (exit) sign. Those are everywhere. No big deal. You start walking in the direction it points, and then you get to the next room and sort of lose the trail. You might be able to ...
