So today we opted out of the morning excursion to a winery in favor of walking around the town of Chalon on our own. As we entered the town by bus yesterday afternoon, there was a large statue of this man, Nicephore Niepce, the most important man from Chalon. He invented photography. So I remembered the Daguerrotype...from Daguerre, as the first photographer...NOT so...it was Msr N, who photographed his wife in the garden in 1822. ...

When we got to Paris, they were mostly staying on the southern side and I needed to go north, but they dropped me right by a convenient metro station and even gave me a metro ticket that they just had lying around. I mean, really! It was incredible. It was certainly an amazing way to end my time in Taize, and a wonderful example of God providing for those who rely on Him.
