In addition to the directions, the owners offered us crêpes to share-we got to try their caramel, sugar, nutella and chocolate crêpes. Sweet! :) We had dinner on the way back to the hotel. We're doing great, and creating new friendships with our travel companions, a group from St. Louis, Missouri, and one from Colorado. Good ...

First stop was the city of Bayonne which is built alongside a river. Walked around the old town, markets, cathedral etc which was great to see. After ...

      ... we legged it.

That was all fine until I decided that I wasn't quite sure where to go next, then Mitch's eagle eyes spotted some taxis parked up. After using my best (not very good) French to ask the taxi driver how far away our hotel was we were told by him it was only 200m up the road and he pointed us in the right direction.

We arrived at our hotel, chosen for its full kitchen, and were told we could access our room at midday, with it ...
