... t mind because it means there is always something going on in or around town. One night we headed into Bayonne for their annual festival, we were there for the closing ceremony and witnessed some more incredible and lengthly fireworks (we have come to the conclusion that the French like their fireworks) this was followed by lots of drinking and dancing by the riverfront. One of the most memorable parts of the night was the bus ride there and back...the buses were ...

OMG! I so love, love, love this Hotel.... and our glorious breakfast experience. If you do not find what you want here .... then you certainly ca ask .... or just not have it. What a wonderful way to start our day, next to the pounding waves on the Atlantic Ocean. Hmmmmm...... She explained (in English/Spanish) how it worked and off we went. The Basque region is very proud of it's ...

... from the ramps and a low tide a busy surf beach. The water was incredibly blue (and clean) and almost wins our favourite beach so far. We kept walking into town, amazed at the layout of the old town. We briefly visited the main beach - packed on a Sunday and the food market 'Les halles'. Although we've done a lot self catering we shouted ourselves a seafood lunch at the fishing port - ordering entirely based on year 9 French skills and pointing, we did pretty well...fresh ...

Having decided it would take at least three hours to get to San Sebastian from Berbes, we arose early this morning compared to the previous two so that we could finish packing and spend as much time with G&C as possible.

A lot of the morning was spent outside, where it was dry but by no means warm, taking some snaps to remember our time here by. It was getting near 1pm and we really needed to get a wriggle on ...
