    ... Museum Marmottan.

The TGV train ride was an experience. I took a short video of the train going 300+ mph. One of the videos you can hear the little girl screaming in the background. She did this for most of the journey -- thank God for Mp3 players, but I could only turn it up loud enough to smother the sound, not drown it out. Oh well, the journey went ...

Today Josine took us all to the markets in Bourgueill which wound its way through all the nobbly streets and buildings of the main street.

We had 3 hours of buying cherries, soft runny orange rind cheese, freshly shucked oysters, heirloom apples, some amazing dried figs to die for and wine of course!! Kevin was then looking intensively for a patisserie for a sugar fix which we soon found and ...

    Life at Chateau Coutanciere

Our each day begins with muesli in the Chateau kitchen, then we get stuck into the laundry which consists of washing, hanging, drying and ironing sheets, pillowcases and duvets all with an ordinary steam iron! It drags on all day especially if there has been a lot of house guests. Kevin and I have also been cleaning rooms after guests have left, new bed linen, cleaning the bathrooms, washing the floors and vacuuming.

    Outside is a never ...
