      ... to the Abbey of Cluney. Do you remember as we approached 2000 that some thought the world would end? Apparently this was nothing compared to the European fear as the year 1000 approached. When the apocalypse did NOT occur, the people built 1,000 churches in Burgundy, 250 of which are still standing...we saw about 25. Castles built between the 13th and 18th century.

      A brisk walk to the local Boulangerie commences a casual and relaxed day in a lovely town. About the size if Toowoomba the main old town area is a shopping Mecca for the girls.
