... but there was never anyone there and any information that was on notice boards was in Dutch. All the other people on the site were Dutch and tended to stick together so it was rather a lonely stay. We climbed 4,615ft in total with a max of 1,589ft but passed ...

We tried to shoo them away but it was as if they couldn't hear us, so we gingerly picked our way through them and back to the beach and safety of our towels. I lay down on my towel and shut my eyes. Mmmm, red or white wine, or maybe we could get some champagne to celebrate not being killed. Tuesday May 12th Hit the motorway and headed a bit ...

... Felines quite Aire was absolutely the best place to rest up for the day and we did. Nobody but us. The real disappointment for me being crook is that these were the mini mountains that Clive had mapped out a route for me to ride. Let's see what tomorrow brings! Even being up as high as 484 metres the temperature reached 26.C today but at least there was a light breeze. Ironically the mountain I had in mind to climb today was (wait for it) The Col Du Prat. And so I ...
