Well we got to France but not to Carcassonne. ... views and white-knuckle, picturesque descents.

We arrived in Prades very late in the afternoon, but discovered when we went out and wandered this small village for dinner and drink that there was a town festival with music, dancing, a parade, and bonfire being held, so we had entertainment provided for our meal al fresco beside the town square.
