... t mind because it means there is always something going on in or around town. One night we headed into Bayonne for their annual festival, we were there for the closing ceremony and witnessed some more incredible and lengthly fireworks (we have come to the conclusion that the French like their fireworks) this was followed by lots of drinking and dancing by the riverfront. One of the most memorable parts of the night was the bus ride there and back...the buses were ...

OMG! I so love, love, love this Hotel.... and our glorious breakfast experience. If you do not find what you want here .... then you certainly ca ask .... or just not have it. What a wonderful way to start our day, next to the pounding waves on the Atlantic Ocean. Hmmmmm...... However, an hour later, Marina and I were on our way for our two massage appointments: legs ...

... from the ramps and a low tide a busy surf beach. The water was incredibly blue (and clean) and almost wins our favourite beach so far. We kept walking into town, amazed at the layout of the old town. We briefly visited the main beach - packed on a Sunday and the food market 'Les halles'. Although we've done a lot self catering we shouted ourselves a seafood lunch at the fishing port - ordering entirely based on year 9 French skills and pointing, we did pretty well...fresh ...

Then on to Biarritz on the Atlantic coast. Stopped at lighthouse for view over town and beach then chance to wander around. Beach was really busy. Went for paddle and walk along the beach then found bar to sit and enjoy cocktail and people watch. Water seemed coolish at first but would be nice once you were in. Sandy beach again.
