... want to live in a smaller town (1.5 million – this is small) surrounded by mountains, two hour bus ride from seoul then this is it. if you choose this town (i wouldn’t recommend it) but i have some friends there still that could show you all the bars.

other towns that might be posted are daegu - about the same as daejeon just another hour south of seoul (3-4 hours) and closer to busan. then ulsan which is close to busan along ...

I was also surprised that you could bring food from the outside into the stadium. I saw plenty of people with outside beer in the stadium and all I could think of was how that's a big no-no in the U.S. If you're gonna get drunk in the stadium it had better be from stadium-issued beer!
Daejeon, Korea Rep. gigi116...

The teachers, even the new ones we preached to this past weekend about student management and sticking to schedules, know how much work we have done to date. What they have no appreciation for is how much work we still have left to do, something we're well aware of. None of the teachers who are privy to the hours we spend planning ...

But don't you be worrying - we're still having fun doing what we're doing, the odd disagreement aside. Right Princess? So long, no more Right so, the deed is done. I got a hair cut today. I'd been getting hints from all angles recently (I didn't know you all cared so much) but I think the straw that broke the camels back was when I heard Meg's dad confirm over a Christmas Day Skype ...
Jochiwon, Korea Rep. byrnedm... Canada yesterday (thanks Sarah & Dave... you shouldn't have, but we're glad you did) and the likes of Cliff Richard & Brenda Lee are singing out through the speakers in my laptop telling us all about 'Saviour's Day' and the joys of sleigh rides and rocking around Christmas trees. We have the day off from camp duties but when we do get back into it tomorrow we'll be continuing the task of doing detailed daily schedule planning ...
Jochiwon, Korea Rep. byrnedm... in the Oksu neighbourhood of Seoul we'd called home since December 1st. The pizza man said goodbye to us as we wobbled by, as did the mandu lady and even a few of the ajumma's (old ladies) manning the stalls of fish, fresh vegetables and pieces of pig we tried so hard not to pull over as we passed by. But, mission accomplished - we made it to the subway station, made it to the bus terminal, made it onto the 6:30pm bus to Jochiwon and ...

It is also inconceivable to me to think about how much they have done in the past 50 years. I will always follow what is happening in Korea, because the next 50 years could bring even more changes to these people. I just hope it is for the best for them. I am sure though they will plow ahead as fast as possible passing the tests any way possible wearing their blinders.
Daejeon, Korea Rep. lcridd... one on a circular platform under an umbrella and one inside the structure flagging you in. Now this is not a simple wave, it is an elaborate dance that I think involves training in an after school academy. If I had all the time in the world and the patience to drive forever, I would pull in and out of these parking garages just to watch these people flag me in again. I tried to record it, but it didn't do it justice. Just take my word for it. So on our trip we ...
