... weather was a perfect 65 and sunny. While our scores were nothing to write home about, the round of golf itself was great.

We we left the golf course about 2:30 for Termoli, a small Adriatic coastal town near the spur of the boot of Italy. We found the hotel with only a minimum navigational delay. When we arrived, the wind was once again howling outside. We are wondering if this is not the norm for the Adriactic coast in the fall. We checked in about five and ...

... more than accounted for that. I think Italy has a lot of work to do. Once we drove past Foggia we started noticing young girls on the side of the roads. They were all prostitutes touting for business and they were along this road for the next 50 km! After driving back through Naples we drve right accross Italy to a farmhouse in a olive orchard where we were staying the night. We visited a seafood shop on the fishing wharf and Dad bought oysters and mussels and scallops which mum cooked up for dinner. The farmhouse was a little rough but we spent the night planning some of the other destinations to follow. Good Night for now. - Grace

Some things don't change! The marina space at Petacciato is on of them. We had swum at this beach many years ago when we were house hunting at Carunchio, in the mountains close to the coast of southern Abruzzo. Clean sand, clear water and plenty of space before the Italian Summer ...

... after the match they picked me up. On the way to their house we stopped in at a food and drink shop, which Molly described as a bit like McDonald's except with booze and cheap food. And it literally was. Beers were in taps in place of soft drink and little sandwiches and olive bowls filled the back kitchen. Almost everything, including pints of beer, for €1.

Today, Alex picked me up at 11 and we head into the city for a coffee and croissant. She tells me that in ...
