We have been next door to the Arena del Torros (Bull Ring) for about a month. Although the Bull Fighting season is from April to end of October we were uncertain of if we would have gone to see an event.

Today was our last day in Seville and since it is the oldest Bull Ring in the world seating 14,000 people we decided to take a tour. It was quite amazing to see the history of this ...

... the back streets. It was the most relaxed and gentle city break I've ever had - what a quiet city it is! It was therefore no surprise that the Alcazar in Seville was very like the Alhambra in Granada; these palaces were originally Muslim palaces with mosques, so are full of Islamic and ...

    Transit to Seville

After a late (1.30) night reading and stuff, the need to get going to the train dragged me from the bottom of the lake like a dumped car, sleep streaming from the windows. Breakfast, packing (now an efficient routine operation) and the necessary indulgence of a cab to the station (too far to walk laden) found us awaiting the 10.25 to Seville in another massive ceilinged, broad-spanning monster of a train station. Ten platforms under one roof, escalators to each set. Funny how ...
