And then we were out on the open road - fast straight roads across the plain and it was a bit parky, especially on the misty stretches. ... and talked about their special ham, which is salted and hung to dry for up to 18 mths on the bone. the pigs are especially bred and fed exclusively on acorns (from all the holm oaks?) The Carrefour had a wonderful display of hams - the Jamon Iberico de Extramadura was 165e for a whole ham!!!! No wonder ...
