... it had a machine and it cost 70 cents a cup. RL took charge, inserted 70 cents and the machine whirred into action. It wasn't until this was completed that he realised that it didn't automatically issue a cup, and the coffee went down the drain. Doh! Not to be put off, more cash was inserted and two successful cups were achieved. A third effort (probably upset by a newly found confidence) meant the machine had supplied half a cup before RL ...

Another bright sunny day, so we decided to use the campsite machine and wash all our bedding and towels - unfortunately when you are away for a longish time the washing really mounts up!
After a leisurely lunch we packed up and headed for Plasencia,8kms away to deal with that other necessity - food!

Today dawned clear and bright - just right for birdwatching. Monfrague is Spain's newest and 14th Parque Nacional. the Tajo and Tietar rivers are dammed in deep valleys

We found a lovely shaded pitch (about the only one flat enough to take a MH) and as we sat out having a welcome cuppa, noticed some unusual birds.
