... got the lone sun seat since he wouldn't enter until he found his tomato juice and the rest of us went in to find our seats in the shade. The ensuing bullfight was like night and day from the Madrid Corridas I had seen before. This was not a solemn affair, it was a raucous and rowdy affair with eating and drinking, yelling and screaming, and a full-fledged band in the sun making constant noise that over the din of the cows could have resembled music. ... into town early at 1.15 - early for us. Sat around chatting all afternoon with lots of different pilgrims. Nice to meet a few more different people. Wandered around the cute little village but being Sunday, not a lot is open. Enjoyed dinner with Jack (Canadian / Sth African) Kyozo (Japanese), Ton & ??? (Dutch). A great night in the square. Stayed in an expensive but nice Pension - on the top floor. At least the stairs are getting easier ...
