    ... climbing and winding. We pass ski areas that were built for the 1998 Olympics held in Nagano. Lots of ski lifts everywhere and as the road takes us higher and higher there is more snow alongside the roads, we see beautiful vistas with snowcapped mountain tops.     Our room overlooks the train line and Nagano train station, so we get to see the trains come and go, even the Shinkansen.
    We take a walk around the area and find a supermarket to get some breakfast supplies.

    What a great nights sleep in a real bed. We both slept really well and the noise from the trains did not bother us at all. Opening the blinds reveals a magnificent day with nothing but blue sky and ...

    The hotel at the airport was, well an airport hotel so not much write home about… but Japan on the other hand…

    Can’t wait to chat to our Japanese friends back at JSK to explain what a country they’ve got.
