    ... We ate a pretty tasty veg
    biryani for lunch and enjoyed lots of snacks to kill the time (plus too many

    ... building work around the quayside so it was quite chaotic and the air thick with brick dust in places.The first boat we saw was a big traditional houseboat with a lovely feel to it, it seemed in good condition , had a lovely sundeck accessed by a spiral staircase, a map of the backwaters, mosquito nets and it was just really cute!     ... Outside one shop, I see a horse, eight feet tall, very stylized, on wheels, covered in stitched on hessian or jute...oh and it is headless. A couple of miles further and another shop is also selling the same headless horse. I have absolutely no idea why, like timeteam on TV, I will also suggest that it could be something ceremonial...or the worst children's toy ever.
