We set off this morning around 11am to head for Brugge, it only took about an hour or so, then another 30mins to find the aires. Normally they are free or have a nominal fee of up to 8 euros, we got to the barrier and it was 22 euros for the night, we could stay in a campsite with amenities for that. It is a lovely spot I have to say and we have electric hook up. So after the initial shock we said thanks for the nice place.
