Our stay in Nice was short but comfortable at the Hotel Le Royal. The rooms were small, but clean and quiet, so we had great sleeps to adjust to France time from our long arduous flight. Great location right on the main drag across from the fantastic Nice beach.

I woke him 4 times that night trying to dull him and he woke, rolled over, continued to snore louder and then repeated. I eventually gave up and spent the entire night on my phone reading a book while this was happening. Some time around 4 30 he got up again and went to the bathroom and he must have had the runs or something because the sounds coming from in there were inhuman. He was groaning and moaning ...

We had perfect weather for the week and enjoyed the refreshing waters of the mediterranean. It was quiet an effort to actually get in the water and out of the water due to the waves breaking right on the edge and the drop off, after a few steps in. Not to mention how hard it ...

Tomorrow I'll tour Nice in the morning and will take a day trip to Monaco in the afternoon and I'll come back at night here. Then I'll be off to Italy on Friday. I don't have an impression of Nice yet, but the hostel is cool. More to come ...

... through security. While at the airport we grabbed some lunch. It was actually very good.

Our flight was about an hour and half. We both slept most of the way. Once we got a taxi to our hotel which was a little expensive but worth the nice ride through the city. We got to our room and just laid down to relax. We have our own room here which is refreshing.

      Around 7:30 ...
