Our stay in Nice was short but comfortable at the Hotel Le Royal. The rooms were small, but clean and quiet, so we had great sleeps to adjust to France time from our long arduous flight. Great location right on the main drag across from the fantastic Nice beach.

The story was a bit ropey and the show quite pantomimish but the production values were very high and the live band were truly brilliant. It was a great way to spend, what turned out to be a cloudy afternoon.

We then went back to the hotel and got ready to go to Monaco. We caught the train there (only 20 minutes from Nice) and walked down to the Casino. The casino was a lot smaller than we both had pictured, but the cars out the front were what we expected- Ferraris and a Rolls Royce, with lots of tourists admiring them. We walked around the area (Amy thought there was ...

... to this sort of thing in NZ we were at a bit of a loss, and were told that our tickets would get us on the next train which was scheduled to leave two and a bit hours later. We were a bit put out by all of this news, so went to find a seat in the station and I persuaded Bradley that coffee and pasty would be required to help us feel better. Enter raspberry tart number two, which was good although not as delicious as the first. Definitely helped to improve the ...

Wealth is on display in every parking lot, harbor, and hillside. In Antibes, site of one of Europe's largest marinas for superyachts, the general public can tour the Quai des Milliardaires. Today we had an amazing day in Monaco, I love it there. In the morning we walked the hill to the top to get a view of the entire port. We then went in the aquarium, you could put your hand in the tank and stroke small sharks! Kyle actually did it!! we walked towards the prince's palace and the view from up here was amazing! After we climbed ...
