... had shown us a few local houses for rent and we picked one we thought would suit us better than La Posada, There was a mare and foal in the little paddock next to the house and a few friendly dogs roaming around, which later became our extended family that followed us everywhere. The first few days here I felt pretty out of place and thought I would seriously go bananas if another person asked or talked about how many pitches, jugs, dihedrals, ropes, etc... Sweet Dreams! ...

After returning to the Posada, it was decided we needed a Campechana adventure in town. YES!! Finally! Street food!! HEAVEN! Campechana= Bistek (steak), pineapple pork sliced off a spit, and queso chihuahua in a flour tortilla with ...

... hour and a half and finally came across the biggest oak tree I have ever seen! The road wound around to a dead end and there it was, perched on a hillside with an amazing view of Potrero Chico! I spent an hour or so hanging out with the tree enjoying it's wise company. After a quick snack I headed back down in to the park and then in to camp. A nice lazy nap with a warm breeze in hammock hit the spot! ...
