Denmark can be summed up with four words: family, eat, drink, sleep! We had a great time with the Danish family and they made sure that we wouldn't be hungry for about 2 months. The days were filled with eating yummy Danish food, playing games, watching football, short walkings at the beach and drinking beer / red wine. ... 5000 years ago!
The castle owners commissioned a number of artists about 20 years ago to create sculptures in the forest. Many of these are very interesting and others have fallen down over the years. We also found hundreds of blackberry bushes laden with fruit.

... yrs old! Many of the streets are made of cobblestone which is very cute but hard in your butt! It was very hard to find anywhere to eat lunch because the tourist season ends about September 1 and very little was open. But we did find a lovely cafe that served traditional Danish open sandwiches so we were very happy. The island economy is mostly farming but some fishing as well.

... and I ended up getting lost with no phone signal or internet to access a map.
I was stressing! But having spend half a year in Hamburg back in 2008 I headed in the general direction and asked a policeman by the road on Reeperbahn. Sorted! Back on track with 20 minutes to go.

I made it and checked in with shaking hands. Parked the bike with some other 20 or so motorbikes waiting to get loaded onto ...
