        Day 2 - Milano

A travel blog entry by the_wes on Oct 24, 2015

After nearly 24hrs in transit, we arrived in Milano. Everyone was happy to finally arrive in Italy, but then came immigration. I swear we had to wait 30-40mins to get through immigration, one upside of waiting so long, the bags were ready to be picked up. After the large wait in line for immigration, we had to wait again, this time for another person who was flying in from England. Again another 30min plus wait in the bus. By this time my patience ...

We all had a very restful sleep after our previous day's adventure! Breakfast was served to us by Guiseppe the owner of the Hotel la Fontana. He's a lovely, friendly helpful man who takes care of us and even kisses the girls buon giorno in the morning haha.
The hotel is boutique style, very European and really nice.
Today the 11 of us have decided to go to Intra to the all day markets.
We buy return tickets for €12.40 each and board the boat on Lago Maggiore ...

... took photos with the group. Back on the bus to the hotel in Lake Maggiore (called Grand Dino), back by 4.30pm, rest the out to a restaurant nearby for dinner with a few of the group, Peter had seafood pasta and I had vegetarian cannelloni. Bought bracelets for gifts back home, walked through to the sister hotel ...
