    ... as we found out even more so in this half hour. It's a bit sad really. Finally our bus arrived and we jumped on, ready to take it to our first stop.     Great night out with James who introduced me to copious amounts of Apfelwein or apple wine. Similar to a flat cider. Can't recall what I ate but it was yummy and thankfully the head this morning was fine.
    Woke up to the horrible news of yet another tragedy for Malaysian airlines. What is it with us and disasters every time we travel?
    Bought a new pair of trainers as I could not walk another step in my DM's.

    ... to the rescue. A young station guard, took our tickets, jumped on to a computer and voila! - we were rescheduled, but with a short wait in Orleans.

    In Orleans, we rang lots of friends and family, trying to use up the credit of Vik's French SIM card, and it was nice to touch base with home.
