... every single one that passed was occupied. We finally saw an empty one, but there was a guy that grabbed the taxi first! We walked more in the pouring rain and waited in another place, but still no luck. We eventually agreed just to walk home. We finally got home and were very proud of ourselves. ... being a protector in addition to a wanderer. It is not better or worse, just different- I feel that being prudent with a family in tow obviously involves more caution. When the motorcycle gang pulled up with guns drawn I knew it was go time. I'm just kidding- but I was relieved when there was a small artists store near our destination with some nice women who offered to call a cab for us when we got back from the bullring.

... to the Uruguayan Buquebus terminal. Going from Argentina to Uruguay was quick and efficient. Going from Uruguay to Argentina the lines moved at a snail's pace; so much so that I wasn't sure I'd be cleared through immigration before the ferry left. I don't know if the change is the difference between Argentina and Uruguay, morning and afternoon, or it's just an anomaly.

... still equally incomprehensible, and we were very amused by the awful pronunciation in both English and Italian.
