... instincts in the women I meet on the Via Francigena.

Norbert and I went our separate ways - the same way, really - in the afternoon. He was returning to his sleeping out arrangement and I needed to find myself a bed for the night. I really enjoyed the companionship of the previous few days, but it also felt natural to strike out again on my own. We've swapped contact details, so I expect we'll swap news of our VF outcomes in the fullness of time.

... area. Loads of vines, castles and hilltop villages. Patrick very kindly made a reservation for dinner for us at a local osteria and we had magical birthday dinner. Liam was very upset that we weren't going back again tonight!! Today we took a drive to Barolo and tasted some wine at their Enoteca - it was a great setup, but geez it's pretty pricey wine....we had a stunning lunch at a little osteria and spent ...

From Pavia, we headed to Asti, Originally we were heading for a Vin Yard with the ability for an overnight stop with facilities (from our camperdstop book), sadly we got there and there was nothing so headed for our alternative Campeggio Cagnidi Asti - It was a predominately permanent vans but with a few touring pitches.

We didn't actually do anything here so nothing to report - Just a pin in the map.

... the life of Guido's cousin Orfeo who will be sadly missed.

Boys spent the afternoon tree surfing while Gran and I caught up on some washing, it always feels great when you have a case full of clean clothes when you are traveling.
Spritz in the local piazza with enough nibbles - that always accompany pre-dinner drinks- to feed a small family!! casual walk through town before selecting the nights dinner venue. So not looking forward to cooking when I get home!!

... with husband Paolo, children, Federico, and Ricardo. Rosanna lives in her mother and father's house, and Luisa lives just down the hill. Lovely house and vista, lovely gardens. Reminded us of Mossman.
Another big lunch. She must have been cooking all weekend. Typical Piedmontese food for us. So we started with prosciutto with melone, mayonnaise vegetables, Vitello tonnato, salami. Then the lovely agnolotti. Followed by a fritta mista which was something new for me. It ...
