Vandaag eigenlijk niet veel gedaan (het is hier nu ongeveer 14u) maar het regent hier al de hele dag. Deze ochtend een uurtje of 2 gaan wandelen maar was natuurlijk volledig al doorweekt na 10min.
En je kan hier eigenlijk niks anders doen dan buiten wandelen dus RUSTDAG !

De Japanse Aldennen
Deze ochtend rond 9u vertrokken en aankomen hier in de buurt van mount Fuji. Was ongeveer 6u met de trein met verschillende overstappen ( geen enkele keer de weg moeten vragen !)' en 622km van Osaka.
Tegen 15u hier nog wat rondgelopen , eten gaan kopen en rusten !

Mt. Fuji
... was really peaceful. Unfortunately the bread rolls we'd bought had peanut butter in them - the Japanese really do have a sweet tooth. So we put a banana in and hey presto, a pretty nutritious lunch! Unfortunately it cloudy it of a cloudy day and at first we were worried that we wouldn't see anything! Luckily, fuji emerged a couple of times for us...you'd suddenly look round and be like 'oh there it is' once the clouds had ...

... wind. Mark was wearing shorts. Will be zero at the Mt? We are now in the bus going there, will see.
Arrived at Mt Fuji, the 5th step (total of 9 steps). very foggy, windy and cold. Sooo foggy that the top of the Mt was fully covered. So we walked around in the shops, the food was good though, corn and Mt Fuji cake (must try).
Taxi heading for onzen now, FujiYama Onzen. About 1000¥ taxi from the train station. The price for this Onzen (1800¥) ...

So, around dark we came upon Hut 8 and slept the night. Everything was very well prepared with food and a sleeping bag for everyone.
