... we brought with us to Japan except for my tripod. We were surrounded by mountains, some as high as 3500m, which was Mt Takegate. It is a dormant volcano. There was also Mt Myojin and a few others that I can't remember the names of. The river running below was as clear as it could possibly be. The river pebbles were white, giving some parts of the river a white look.
