Sendai - beautiful mountains in autumn

A travel blog entry by monkeybusiness

... sushi where the chefs chopped up all the fish right in front of us. It was oishii (delicious) and a lot cheaper than sushi in London too!

Day 3 we headed out to Yamadera which is a tiny town surrounded by mountains. There isn't much to do in Yamadera other than climb the 1000 steps of a big hill/small mountain which is covered in temples, shrines and viewing platforms. At the top was a pretty temple with a big gold Buddha ...

疲れだ so tired

A travel blog entry by r1cebank

The past couple days has been really fun for me. I got to visit a whole new place in Sendai and had a lot of fun with my fellow students. I was joined at the top by some hikers (if you can call them that) who just came out of the cable car and we were pretty much the only ones on the trail up and down. ...

Zao Onsen & Mount Okama

A travel blog entry by lucieandiuri

We came here a bit by chance and were very lucky indeed. This town is so charming, lots of little lodges and restaurants, it's pretty, clean and surrounded by mountains, ski slopes and lakes. On our first day we visited the different sites: two lakes, the shrines etc... Yesterday we climbed Okama (there is ropeway ...
