    ... the morning and finally began doing press ups albeit wall press ups. I struggled doing 5. He said I was roughly one month away from fully recovering but in that state I couldn't help but think it might be a tad longer. Anyway later that night I went round to my mate's for a few pre-drinks. We had a few games of smash bros and el vino did flow. We left to go to a 2 hour drinking party and met all my other mates.

    ... am spending too much time travelling and I already have a long way to go south to get to the latitude of Tokyo and start my southern adventures. Some big travel days ahead!!!Surprisingly Sapporo ( or thereabouts ) is on the same latitude as the French Riviera. I think it is a little colder though!!!! The last few days have been about 12 degrees and a little less at night. I heard that in Tokyo it is over 30 degrees!!! Such a big difference over not so many ...

    For all of you who thought to yourself, "Wow, Chris and Jamie have a free place for me to stay in Japan, so I should go visit", Shane actually followed through and we welcomed him here Saturday night. For all of you others, you're time is running out.

    ... The sidewalks were pretty much a huge mound of ice so it was slow going down the 7 blocks or so. We stopped once to take a picture in the shape of a heart and took another photo a few blocks further at the end holding up our cans of Coke, who was a sponsor. It was fun to see people actually smile for once as they saw us walk by!

    ... short, but I was so thankful that I was able to visit at all. Sometimes, even a short visit will get a place in your pores. In a happy and contented daze, I wandered back toward my room, stopped for some great sashimi and miso soup.
