    A big jump north - trying to catch the spring blossom and flowers.

    I went from Nikko to Aomori in one day - 4 trains and one bus ( the bus was from the town to the hostel, 12km on the outskirts of Aomori ) The travel time wasn't that great however, as once I got onto the mainline ( Nikko is on a branch line) it was a couple of the high speed trains and finally a 6min ride on another local train from Shin Aomori into Aomori.     After a peaceful day at sea, we arrived in Aomori in Northern Japan. Aomori is a quaint little town, but our plan today is to take a train out to Hirosaki Park, about an hour away, to see what is suppose to be one of the best displays of cherry blossoms in Japan.
