Lucerne is an old Swiss city, begun in the 13th Century. It is pretty large, but has a quaint atmosphere. It has a section called "the old city" and seems to be where all the action is. Next day we still had a half day before leaving for Interlaken Ost. This we spent by at a fabulous Transport Museum, we could have spent the whole day since it 3 great pavilions, trains, cars, boats and planes plus a planetarium and a 3D cinema.
