Beautiful walled village in Franconia. We drove through stunning scenery and arrived to glorious sunshine. We walked the perimeter wall and the charming cobbled streets of this picturesque hamlet. Spent the evening sampling regional wursts and beer. We chatted long into the evening with a delightful German couple, who Brenton may have invited to Adelaide for a holiday! This village was certainly one of the highlights of our trip so ...

Didn't get to see Wurzburg much but went straight on a tour to Rothenburg in the Tauber Valley about an hours drive away and one of the most picturesque villages in Germany and certainly one of the most famous. Its completely surrounded by a wall and is full of charm (but to me ...

... work in the tourism industry in some capacity. So, they really turn up the medieval Christmas cuteness this time of year. The market is amazing and is the best one we've seen so far. Plenty of handmade trinkets to bring home and tons of different types of sausages and gluwein to enjoy.

Around 5 PM we decided it was time to grab some dinner. We picked an inviting looking restaurant near one of the markets and popped in to warm up and get some grub. We barely got ...
