Tuesday Wurzburg is the capital of Lower Franconia. Dennis did his bike ride and I visited the Residenz Palace the residence of the former Prince Bishop but now a World Heritage site and was treated to a wine tasting in the wine cellar. ... We visited another store and mom bought a small kitty ornament for 1.95 euros. oh we also got a hazelnut chocolate snowball for 1.70 euros. It tasted pretty good. Heard it's a local dessert. We got that behind St Jacob's Church.

Dinner was at a restaurant right outside the city wall. Dinner soup tastes bad. Main dish is sausage with shared mashed potato.

... tour of Wurzburg, put our guidebook away, and it began to rain as we walked to our car. As we drove to Rothenburg, it stopped raining. Our hotel in Rothenburg was 1 minute from the medieval town wall and gate. We checked in to the hotel, had half a glass of wine, and set out for our walking tour of Rothenburg (following our guidebook). We stopped for an ice cream cone to eat along the way (Mary's idea), and began an incredible visit to the most well-preserved medieval town in ...

... exhibits of medieval law. For example, if a woman beats her husband, the neighbors can remove their roof because if he can't defend himself, he's not worthy of protection against the weather!!

Lastly, went on the Night Watchman's tour of town. Super touristy but so well done it didn't make difference.
