Day 6 - Wednesday, 10th September, 2014
After a nice breakfast at the hotel we ventured down to the Lake Constance waterfront at Lindau. There wasn't much to see due to the mist and low cloud. So we got on the road.

The evening concluded with a reception hosted by Lutheran Hour Ministries to welcome everyone! Kurt Buchholz and I both spoke briefly and then continued meeting and talking to our fellow travelers.
There were some curve balls thrown at us today, but were able to persevere which makes me so proud to be traveling with God's people.
Just waiting to go to our late breakfast at 7am. Then we are on our way to Venice for ride on gondola and to see glass blowing at Murano one of the many islands of Venice. ... breaking conversations the last few days with a boy who will remain nameless (!) I was left sitting looking out on the pouring rain wondering why I was crazy enough to think I could do this alone! Then I look at the map and literally see how far I have come, and what Lily and I have already accomplished together. Time to escape, I went to visit the Kaiserliches Hofburg, where Empress Maria Theresia raised SIXTEEN children! A son was Franz Joseph II, who later would become emperor and marry "Sisi", and a daughter was Maria Antonia, better known as Marie Antoinette, who died by the guillotine. All these royal houses were so interrelated through marriages! The Hofburg is nice to visit, some beautifully restored rooms ...
