... muffins, and orange juice at Tescos. Then had a meal at the restaurant in the station as they also accepted Visa. I had ground veal in a pancake with paprika sauce and Bryan had chicken kiev. Not bad but not brilliant. Finished our waiting in the Business Lounge - the platform came up on the screen in there before it did in the station proper. The girl who'd greeted us was still there. A long day for her.

... of Km's walking around started to form blisters on the soles of my feet, so Saturday evening and Sunday morning were a bit of a struggle, but it was going to take a lot more than that to prevent me enjoying this amazing city.

After all the walking, the bus was a surprisingly welcome sight, study/sleeping ensued with a mid term looming the next day. Back to reality... for now at least.

... the men usually stand around kicking their feet (I have sampled some of the desserts as they are astonishing). Sherree: Tonight we ate at a typical Hungarian restaurant with a 3 piece band (violin, guitar and cello) and the chefs cooking in an open kitchen. With another travel day looming, we got up and on the road with a 6 hour drive ahead of us to Budapest. Jase played a fun game of will we have enough diesel to make it to the border, while I kept checking the Tom Tom to try and make a more informed guess as to how far away we actually were.

We made it – just (a couple of free wheeling downhills and slower town limits played in our favour). Happily back in Euro-using Slovakia ...
