Sue

As we drove closer to San Marino, we all started saying, "Did she REALLY say "the NATION" of San Marino?? And that's exactly what it was: It's full title is "The Republic of San Marino". John will do doubt tell you of its history. It's set high on a mountain, with the most glorious view and was yet another treasure chest waiting to be opened for us! It was our nicest hotel by far - VERY upmarket! - and it was exciting to follow the ...
San Marino, San Marino, San Marino pollies... we were glad when we arrived in Rimini.

It rained the first few days we were here, but the past 2 days of sunshine have made up for it! Our hostel has great rooms but a really awful atmosphere, so we were so glad when the sun came out and we could spend all day at the beach, or in the town. Relaxing in the sun is just what we've needed! I'm still embarrassingly white though. I'd even call it offensively white. It's going to take more than 2 days of sun to bring me even to human ...

Cesenatico, Emilia-Romagna, Italy wolgo0420... the world) it was one of the more enjoyable and relaxing days we have had. Also pretty funny was when we went grocery shopping they actually had their own vats of wine in the store but funnier than that was when Jen got caught by the armed security gaurd taking a photo and he started ranting in Italian at her. Not much else to say just a real different kind of beach town that has a historic center. Very relaxing and fun. Now it is off to Verona the next morning...
Rimini, Emilia-Romagna, Italy moore_mattj... Byzantine mozaics in the world, Ravenna is small, has free bike hire and a bike/pedestiran only town centre, and of the sites apart from one lie within a few hundred metres of one another. Another highlight - the place is free of the hoards of tourists we encountered everywhere else in Italy.

And the mosaics - my pictures don't do them any justice at all, you really must go for ...
Ravenna, Emilia-Romagna, Italy kristinb... trying to make a play, but he almost severed my arm at the elbow. I walked back to the huddle trying to get feeling back in my left arm. It would swell up nicely from this point. Reggie broke a 25 yard run around the left side that got us to the Marines’ 30, then I faked left, rolled right, scrambled back left, and found Reggie leaking out, and lofted the balled just over the linebacker head who was trying to cover him as he turned up the sideline. Reggie caught ...
Milano Marittima, Emilia-Romagna, Italy mavsqb1... the start. It was every show, not just the odd one. They were truly amazing and probably the best we’ve had yet. I imagine the finale was what it must be like at a rock concert - they rushed down the front dancing and screaming...all for me of course...and the rush it gave was brilliant.

Thank you so much Forli..you were great!

But no photos...sorry!
Forli, Emilia-Romagna, Italy mamma-mia... Naturally we got a t-shirt and the man showed us then his own garage with bikes he owned which was really special. He invited us for coffee but we had to get moving on. What a top day we had. Heading north we finally left the lowlands and reached the Dolomite mountains and camped by a lovely lake, Lake Garda. The lake is famous for windsurfing most of the year and the campsite catered for them. The views were beautiful of the soaring mountains behind us.

Milano Marittima, Emilia-Romagna, Italy elisapliakou... from numerous strangers, we eventually find Hotel Silvana, slightly down the hotel from the actual suburb of San Marino, San Marino (the bit with the castle), and in Murata, San Marino. This hotel is family run, and I would highly recommend it. The rooms are normalish - not shabby, not posh, but they (the family) go out of their way to help you out. They fetched us coffee when we came in from the cold, sent a tray up to our room in the morning with ...
