... the ferry to bellagio....a bit touristy for us so found a nice lady in a deli who made us a massive sandwich each - salami, ham, local cheeses.a..total cost $5 .....then walked over the hill and found some nice lane ways and little harbours ... Train one hour out to varenna on lake como. Weather fine again, lake is clear n blue. Varenna is small village across from Bellagio. Very cute on hill side, ferry takes you across to other villages. We are staying at a hotel in the village square, bell chimes from 7am till 7pm we think, or hope, saw mellagio village on other side of lake today, it is a beautiful town, buildings ...

Birthday celebrations in the mountains

Bellissimo Bellagio
... lake front to Menaggio where we call into the Post Office and thankfully Andrea uses her Italian to buy us some post packs to send some things back home. From here we catch a ferry across the lake to Bellagio which lies at the apex of where the lake splits in two directions.
