Hi Family and Friends,

Although it sounds like the battle cry of the Luftwaffe the harsh phonetics of its name certainly belie this beautiful soft and inviting city. .It really is a modern, technically industrialized city meeting the medieval past. I wasn't sure what to expect and had pinpointed this stop as more so a stepping stone down to Munich. I have been pleasantly surprised.

There aren't many places we have been on our travels that have been “planned”
but Stuttgart was one of them, only reason for us (Tom) being the
home of Porsche.



We were hoping for surroundings similar to Wolfsburg, but we didn't get that, the
campsite was rammed, there were a few spaces left so we got on, there
was a constant stream of arrivals and eventually the site was full,

She said "In Norway we say our children are born with skis on their feet", her son learned to ski at 18 months old. He does Nordic walking, cross country, slalom, downhill, and goes training during the week - he is 6! Their university is free, she said they have paid maternity leave for a year.
