    ... village, but no motorized traffic. It was a fabulous place with a great view. We stopped for bottled water, and a couple of candy bars to snack on as we enjoyed our view. It was great. Back on the cable car we got off at the next to last station in Gimmelwald. Gimmelwald is another tiny village full of Swiss chalets, and fabulous views.     ... and it was like taking a step back in time. The little wooden houses against the backdrop of the alps feels like home. We stopped at a little shop to get some postcards to send home. These little houses are self sufficient with massive vege gardens lush with produce and fruit trees laden.

    ... 8217;t quite make the Ice Cream cut so we drove up a steep mountain to a town called Beatemberg (no the houses were not made of pink and yellow sponge from the 80’s!) Up there was a restaurant offering spectacular views over the snow covered Eiger, Monch & Jungfrau Mountains – all famous in their own right. The ice cream and cakes weren’t bad either!

    ... and so they closed the mountain and we had to catch a cable car down instead. Thankfully they refunded our money. We caught the train from there, further up, to Kleine Scheidegg where we got on the Jungfraujock to reach the top! This train goes up, inside the mountain, for 1 hour! We finally reached the 'Top of Europe' and the highest train station in Europe (4158m)! Sadly there was a massive snow storm and ...

    ... a cozy little restaurant nestled in the mountainside where we got coffee to numb the cold. We hiked another 45 minutes until we found a scenic walking bridge to have our picnic lunch on.
