... city centre is very interesting and has a number of medieval and Tudor buildings and original Roman walls. Much of the architecture of central Chester looks medieval and some of it is but by far the greatest part of it, including most of the black-and-white buildings, is Victorian, a result of the "black and white revival".

... back at home, dictating this blog to Phil to type for me, I've turned my mind to the week ahead, starting my new job and wrapping my arm in plastic bags every time I want to have a shower.
