In Bruges

Three trains later and we had arrived. I was surprised how easy it all seemed; one minute we were in London, the next we were in Bruges. After quickly checking in to our hostel, we set out to explore the town and find some food. We headed straight for the Grote Markt, a large square buzzing with activity. Surrounded by impressive architecture, including the 83 metre tall Belfry tower, we scanned the market stalls for a local ...

... I am never sure if what we are looking at is original or rebuilt after WW1 or WW2. Regardless, as many of you know, in Europe it is magnificent and gives me strong hope for Chch. It has influenced Leanne and I to rethink our view of the Chch cathedral rebuild. Now sitting in the main square of Brugge about to have an evening meal after more shop visiting. Good night ...

... Tassie's are all staying in different areas. I went out today while Nate was on the water to Veurne a small village about 15 kilometres from where we are staying. It was beautiful, the buildings so old, it was hard to read the history on the churches as it was in Dutch but the years were 1120, another one said 1720 so not sure but this town wasn't bombed in the world war so it is all in it's original state. Just amazing. - ...

... we got in we washed our boat down. When we got back to our cabin mum and Daryl had been to a market and bought two bikes. Daryl bargained with the man and got the both of them for 35 Euros, so mum and Daryl rode them all the way home. At the market mum and Daryl also bought two tennis rackets and balls. All of us kids have been riding around and going to play tennis. The tennis court has no net but we are still having ...
