... And indeed these offer a more authentic and peaceful experience. Anyway, after an off and on rainy day, I did my Brugge thing, then continued to the coast to camp for the night. Yes, after 5000+ km I've returned to the North Sea. Tomorrow, I will cross into France and take the 12pm ferry from Dunkerque (Dunkirk) to Dover in the UK. One other note: just before reaching camp, I passed a farm with exotic animals such as turkey and kangaroo. I think those were the first 'roos I'd ever ...

... was no escaping the madness! We stopped off briefly at the market place where we could see the belfry and the post office (with a million people around) and then it was quickly back to the canal to go on a boat ride.
