Arriving in Basel
We arrived earlier this afternoon in Basel. Flight delayed 30 minutes leaving Houston so had to run to catch plane in Frankfurt. A 0600 am wake up was on the cards today for our little day trip to Zermatt, a village in the alps at the foot of the Matterhorn the famous and highest mountain peak in Switzerland. Switzerland - Day 13
... caught and is owned by a husband and wife from Hottwil. The food is all traditional Swiss and tasted amazing, Tommy and I both had a cordon bleu, fantastic and I had Rosti with mine which is grated potato semi fried a traditional Swiss dish. Petra ordered deer, caught locally which we both had a taste of Bambi...it tasted like a really tendered beef however I think now I have tried it I am content just sticking to what I know.
