I had planned to go to a piano concert (Brahms, Schumann and Prokofiev) at the Musikhochschule tonight, but since I hadn’t had dinner yet and it began in less than 45 minutes, that plan was scuttled pretty quickly. Instead I fixed dinner and listened to some classical music on the ...

... and then stopped in a couple of shops to peruse their wares. As it was then after 5 PM, I walked to the Alte Wache where they were introducing their rot und weiß Glühwein (red and white spiced wine) for the season. It is served warm so it is very refreshing during the winter months. They had a special price tonight only of 2 Euros instead of the regular price of 3.50 Euros, so I tried one of each. I had never tried weiß Glühwein previously, but it tasted quite good as well. On ...
