Our route from Mulhouse to Basel was significant for a number of reasons. Firstly it marked the completion of the Doubs Valley and Haute Alsace section of the Eurovelo 6 route and also saw us meet the Rhine for the first time. Leaving Mulhouse our route took us through back streets for about 6k before we rejoined our old friend the Rhone Rhine …

I'm glad I didn't because we found out the Eis Cafe (ice cream) was open until 11 so we walked down for a late treat. Isabell and I shared a large one with fruit in the middle. MMMMM! Can you imagine I was tired after all that? Tomorrow - a monastery and street ...

    Greetings everyone!

We made it to Basel, all 1405 kl. of the Eurovelo 6 route, and were so happy to cross the border into Switzerland. So different than crossing into the U.S. The border guard just waved us through with a friendly smile!

Summer is upon us now and the days are getting hotter - up to 36F. On our way to Montbeliard we came upon a local market so were able to stock up on fresh fruit and cheese. After making a wrong turn on the ...
