Our route from Mulhouse to Basel was significant for a number of reasons. Firstly it marked the completion of the Doubs Valley and Haute Alsace section of the Eurovelo 6 route and also saw us meet the Rhine for the first time. Leaving Mulhouse our route took us through back streets for about 6k before we rejoined our old friend the Rhone Rhine …
... shopping in the village shop "Der Laden" and then going out to dinner. Main meal was in Minamoto - Japanese restaurant in Hotel Royal - and desert in Hotel Restaurant Waldhaus.
Back home to catch up with e-mails before retiring to bed.
Weather changed dramatically with rain, rain, rain and lower temperatures (Schneegrenze auf etwa 2000m sinkend!) should get a bit better by the weekend.
... the lightning flashed, but quickly forgot it when the food arrived.
It was still raining when we finished our meal and were driving back to the Norris Mansion, but once we were inside, we forgot about it; how could we not in such tasteful and cosy surroundings?
Time for bed now but more news from Rodersdorf will follow and some pictures if we figure out how to add these :))
Pascal drove us with our car to Zuerich airport, picking us up around 6pm after a days work in and around the house and last minute travel preparations.
