... wind to turn the motor off so we settled for lunch. We passed Belle Ile and the Quiberon a Peninsular on are way to Island of Houat. Still flat seas but wherever you looked other yachts were motoring 3.15pm engine off at last but only for 1 hour as at 4.15 engine on, what a shame lets hope for more wind tomorrow for going to Ile de yeu. Lovely settled eve at anchor made mince from pork steaks and made homemade burgers with rice and aubergine lovely way to end our day ...

After coming back from Rennes we enjoyed dinner in the cockpit. Just in front of where we are moored there's a bandstand and in the evening around 30 or so people were old fashioned dancing until the late hours. it was really lovely to watch as it was people of all ages.

Last night a lady wandered about playing a violin, tonight there is recorded music from one of the restaurants. But the crowds are thinning, they are packing up and will soon go home to bed.

As Jonathan has just done and as now will I!

Sunrise on the ramparts and the Elven Towers

... Elven Towers" sounded lovely, so we agreed to stop there on the way, to make a full day of it.

And off we set, a long drive with the usual muddles despite Amalie (GPS) and a map. There was roadworks resulting in a deviation miles off course into the corn and wheat fields. But we duly arrived at Elven at 10.30am, opening time. The fortress was down a drive through dense green forest, and we went through the big gate where a man took our money, ...
