... though the lagoon is fresh water. Posy was happy - she got to go.   Another evening we went out to a preserve where they incubate and then release a variety of sea turtles back to the ocean. We got to actually help release about 70 baby sea turtles. It was sooooo special and amazing - to let these little critters that fit in the palm of your hand go into the immensity of the ocean! - it has a great geographical setting nestled on bays and sandy beaches and low mountains
- it is a wonderful place to linger and just soak up the atmosphere
- it is very international with a nice mix of European visitors
- the wonderful “winter” weather
- the beautiful smooth sandy beaches are a pleasure to walk if nothing else
- it is the antithesis of the big resort ...

... arms.   Seconds later, the turtle was pulled up onto our boat!  Then they put the turtle back in the water for Stacy and I to swim with it.  So much fun!   After a few days in PE, we are definitely ready for a new town and looking forward to Oaxaca town tomorrow.
