Hey there, sorry to have a gap in the virtual tourist ride. Yesterday, Sunday, we left Portoscuso and headed North on the Island to a fishing port called Alghero – not a small port by any standards – a mix of traditional fishing boats moared in with pleasure craft and charter boats. We traveled along the coast – steep coast for 46 kms from our lunch stop, Bosa Marina to ...

... other long drive this week was to Castelsardo to see elephant rock. Months ago, Abby saw a picture in a Sardinia guide book of elephant rock. After a light snack and Donny dropping his pants to get changed in front of the cafe guests we hit the beach. M-L knows happy hubby at beach means more sand time so hires a sun lounge fitted ...

We visit the old town & Castle

... There is a reasonable climb from picnic level to old town and castle level, our estimation is 250 - 300 metres so we tried to imagine the enemies attempting to penetrate this fortress - almost impossible. There is an entire small village that still lives within the castle walls, they drive to parking areas and then walk the narrow lane ways, another world really. The art of basket weaving is still carried out, lots of old italian women plying their trade and selling. The streets ...
