We have spent three days just doing nothing in the room but on sunday we went out for a walk and I seem to be getting better at one point I think that I wanted to come home but what difference does it make being here or at home. We have some sunshine now and I can just relax.
I have slept for nearly 14 hours ...

Anyways got taken to hospital in Pula and spent the next few hours having xrays and scans and allsorts. They had to put 4 ...

When your legs start to feel tired, stop for a coffee or a glass of spritz, perhaps in one of the famous places where Joyce, Saba or Svevo used to get inspiration for their masterpieces. Just to mention a couple, Caffè degli Specchi in Piazza Unità, and Caffè San Marco, in via Battisti 18.

Rovinj, Istria, Croatia rampantredhead... cave to be open for public, a large project was initiated. With certain amount of financial aid for the realization of the project and with significant own investment, the cave was cleaned up, and its trails and lighting were tended to. It is worth visiting.
The temperature in the cave is between 13 and 14 degrees throughout the whole year and you might even catch a glance of a bat or a small “albino” crab.

Trieste, Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy ilovetheworldSorry, too dark for any good pictures, but here are a few attempts. This place is HUGE, with awesome, massive caverns that blow your mind, very impressive and interesting. The remains of the original internal stairs are visible in many spots, built by the original explorers ...
Skocjan, Divača, Slovenia stevelegassickWe met Mauro Dujmovic for our private walking tour of Rovinj. We went past an amazing market with local produce, olive oil and souvenirs. We wound our way up through the old village to the top where the church was. The view of the sea was breathtaking. We then went for traditional Croatian coffee at a seaside cafe. Very strong.
The sunny day turned blazingly hot. We wandered through the more modern part ...
... 2004. Although it's not really reunited as such, as it's still administered as two towns, the effect of it is it's one of the easier border crossings you can make - you simply get off the train in Slovenia, walk all of 10m and you're in Italy. So technically I've now been to Italy ;) Don't think I'll count this one, though. Onwards!
