... Then it was back to the churches, though some were closing for the afternoon by now, and a walk down the road to see the fountain Michael had discovered on his walkabout on the first evening. At night this is lit by colours, but it still looks good in sunlight. By now most places were closing (they do the afternoon siesta well in Italy!) so we decided on a long lunch ourselves. Back to the Piazza Garibaldi, for what turned into a two hour ...

She knew that it was in the gallery but thought it would be behind armoured security glass and so on. Oh no, she was quite literally nose to nose with a da Vinci - for the second time on this trip - so she was understandably on an artisitic high when she finally emerged from the gallery. ...

... are not sure we would have enjoyed working for him but there was no doubt about his passion and dedication to the cars and racing.

Aside from the display hall there was the original workshop of Ferrari that contained a replica of the first official car built, some influences from Enzo's early career and about half a dozen other Ferraris.

It was a little disappointing to see so few Ferraris but this museum is about the life of Enzo.
