      ... mosaic tiles and lots of little bars and restaurants. All old but mostly well maintained. Main piazza and duomo had medieval look and were huge. Church was designed to be biggest in Europe till Papa stepped in. Taxi to Ducati 20€ for museum tour which had to be booked and was a bit disappointing cause factory closed this week. Joanna was right on time - it was probably obvious I was the student as apart from the very old lady having coffee (who looked like a regular) I was the only other solo person.       Had a slow morning as it was wet and dreary outside. I also took the opportunity to do some hand washing. A late breakfast - this time no hiccups with the order. I had been hoping to find a cafe that Lonely Planet guide promoted but I was starting to get wet and feeling very hungry so stopped at the next cafe I found. One of the things we liked about Bologna was that just about every single building in the old town has a huge loggia (covered walkway with pillars and arches) which would make it very easy to get around in the rain.       ... was also pleased to have a lovely warm shower this morning - it is a bit like my hot water but I think theirs takes a lot longer to heat up than mine. Train was a red bullet nosed train and I was in the first carriage. Only an hour and I was at Bologna. I think mist of it was through tunnels - I didn't get to gaze out of the window much at all.
