    A M ventured to Cadaques to tour Dali's house . After seeing museum and house I am now an official Dali fan ( wasn't before) Picnic on the way to Girona by way of lovely town of Besalu, and a swim at Banyoles. Stayed 2 nights at Pension Bellmirall .Tapas & Rosata for dinner. Breakfast on patio.

    ... what seemed to be yet another col. After about 40 Kms along the coast we headed inland and spent most of the rest of the day travelling through farmers fields. It was very hot and we had difficulty finding a place to eat, but when we did, one of the patrons kindly came over to translate for us. Must say fresh melon in this part of the world is outstanding.     ... busy highway for a while, but with a decent shoulder and excellent surface. After turning on to quiet side roads, we experienced fields of sunflowers among other things with the Pyrenees off in the distance to the north as a backdrop. Very pleasant riding all the way to Girona, even after Dave & Linda pulled away from me and I was riding on my own for a while to the end.

    I took the metro to Parc Guell and found a similar problem there. They limit entry into the special part of the park to just 400, and at 2pm they were selling tickets for 5.30pm entry so I decided it would have to wait until another quieter time. I did meet a charming Brazilian couple whilst I was there and with my very basic Spanish and their basic but much better English we spent a good half an hour ...
