... loved it, while Deb and I fended off the Moroccan beach sellers' advances. A quick stop for lunch before Deb then led us on a wander into town, via some picturesque industrial estates and a run down fair ground.

The boys started to get into the swing of things making friends at the campsite with some German kids, so we didn't see much of them after we got back.

... the statues carved from marble and the huge bronze doors which are pieces of art themselves. The frescos in the cathedral are probably some of the most beautiful we have seen. I cannot believe how talented these people were all those years ago. At the very back of the church is the most beautiful altar with a golden mosaic on the wall above which shines with the light from the stain glass window. In the apse it's Christ ...

... I've always seen pictures and told myself one day I'll be here...and the day finally came! Then we went out to dinner in Manarola and the food was delicious and of course as the Italians do it, we ate gelato! So yummy :) At about 11pm, the hostel owner arranged for a taxi to pick us up and we slept very, very well that night.

On Friday, we woke up a few hours later than planned so we had to rush to...Florence :)

... of Pisa, be prepared for the montage of Pat's shoe! I loaded today's pictures only to find several pictures of his shoe. For the life of me, I can't figure out what it is that I was doing that I didn't notice him taking several pictures of his shoe! It gave me quite a chuckle when I found them though. Silly ...
