    ... top, temperature was 25 delightful, you could see the low hanging cloud over the coast, hiding the heat. Drive back down the mountain was as exciting as driving up, dropped off our guide

    Back at the hotel, air conditioning, relaxed for awhile then went down to the sea, paddled, sat on a deck chair, found out that you have to reserve & pay for these ! Walked for awhile, back to the hotel until dinner, included tonight.

    Agrigento–Taormina Riviera

    Energy is very expensive, they are trying to become self sufficient through solar & wind turbines but they predominantly buy their electricity from Germany & Switzerland, if you build a house & try to be self sufficient you get a tax rebate.

    About 5 years ago there was an issue with garbage piling up in Naples so to solve this the Italians paid ...

    ... secondary road for about 10km and then we hit the beach. Wow. Umbrella areas set up in front of cafes and huts. The umbrellas were grouped in their colours - yellow and green, yellow and white, red and blue. A marvelous sight, just like you see in magazines and in the movies. There were heaps of people on the beaches, sun baking on the banana lounges and swimming in the beautiful blue water.

    ... with a casino and duty free shops. We got there early so we got a great table on the sundeck and enjoyed leaving the harbour to the sounds of Crowded House!! Very popular here in Italy. The ferry ride was gorgeous and the sunset was stunning as we left Italy. We slept the night and arrived in Croatia as the sun came up in the morning. It was a wonderful ferry ride , very beautiful and as flat as a pond and really warm. Bye for now - Grace

    So after cancelling some of our plans and accommodation we were told there wasn't any availability for hotels for Mugello. We decided we'd go to Rossi's village Tavullia and then make plans from there.

    I started searching for hotels again about an hour out of port and one place messaged back to say they had a cancellation and the price was very reasonable.
