I think I wrote in my journal Thursday of last week. The last three days have been just driving the countryside of France and visiting sweet little medieval villages. They are so quaint and different than anything we have in the States.

Last night we went to a 3 star Michelin restaurant—Auberge de L'Ill in Illhaeusern. It was amazing and the most expensive meal we have ever had. I doubt we will experience it again, but it was ...

These last few days were spent pretty much driving back from
the UK to Switzerland, and even though the distance is not really far by South

We followed ...

Didn't find any that I liked that didn't cost over 1000 euros. But it was fun and these are handcrafted here. It lovely up here. Roads are fantastic. And the speed limit on the two Lane roads we are using is 42 to 50 mph. And that is ok with all the swerves in the road. Photos to follow. Hope this finds you all ...

... of wine. It was pretty much impossible to taste anything beyond whether something was sweet or not! We were both really annoyed by it - and to cheer ourselves up we had a proper glass of local reisling and some apple strudel in the next town. Balance restored! We then headed back to Frankfurt, and with the helpful directions from our tour leader we found the old town - hooray! We chose to try an apple wine bar (apfelwein) as it’s a Frankfurter specialty, but ...
